Hokkaido, Japan–This year’s Group of Eight (G8) Summit is being held in the remote Lake Toya region of Hokkaido, Japan. Two of the main topics on the agenda at this year’s summit are energy and climate change. These are obviously two areas that have a profound effect on the stocks covered in The Energy Strategist.

Earlier this year I was invited to contribute a piece for the official 2008 G8 Summit Magazine, and as a result, I’m currently in Hokkaido covering the summit. I’ll be offering an ongoing account of my observations on the activity around me at the free blog At These Levels.

This afternoon I posted my first article from the summit, complete with pictures of the unique snow cooling system of the International Media Center.
