Apogee Enterprises

Demand for Apogee’s (NSDQ: APOG) specialty glass is closely correlated to new commercial buildings. The July Architectural Billings Index (ABI) came in at 51.5, down slightly from June’s level but still above the average for the first six months of the year. New design contract rebounded to 51.8 from 49.7 the previous month, an omen for strong future growth.

Apogee will report its second quarter after the market close on Sept. 14 with a conference call the following morning.

Integrated Device Technology

Integrated’s (NSDQ: IDTI) chips were selected by Micro-Star International and Samsonite to be used in new products this week. Taiwan based Micro-Star will be using IDTI’s chips in two of its motherboards for industrial use computers. Samsonite will use Integrated’s chips for its new travel and luggage bags that will offer wireless charging. The bags, which promise no traveler be left with a dead cell phone or laptop, will be introduced in the first quarter of next year.

Supreme Industries

Supreme (NYSE: STS) was up 3% on Sept. 8 on a report that investment guru Louis Navellier mentioned the stock positively. The stock is up a whopping 38% since we first recommended it but could go higher as it rides the wave of demand from Amazon and other home delivery services.
