Sell Old Dominion Calls for Swift 82% Gain

Sell to close the October 20, 2017, call on Old Dominion Freight (ODFL) with a strike price of $105 at $2.10 or higher for a quick 82% gain Symbol (ODFL171020C105)

As I mentioned yesterday with my sale of the Werner calls, I still like the trucking group very much but this was a short-term trade which has worked out beautifully. Sell these calls and keep your eyes peeled for more trade ideas.

I’m using OptionsHouse i’m using options house the bid is 1.70 and the ask is $1.90.

The bid price dropped quickly . I caught it at $1.78. Eight contracts @ $1.78 for a total of $1424.

John,
I usually suggest subscribers put their price between the bid and the ask. Many of the spreads on these options are very wide so that is usually the best policy. Especially when there is not a pressing need to execute the trade immediately.

Hello Linda, I am a brand new subscriber and reviewing and learning the ropes. Ok, to the question, I see the alert to sell the Old Dominion Calls, but I do not see the alert to buy, where would I find/get these when they come out?

Welcome! Thank you for subscribing. You can see the list of trades in chronological order under the Alert tab. Often times the options trades are based on one event and I recommend puts or calls for several different stocks in the same industry. Whenever I recommend a stock purchase I try to find an options trade for that same stock as I know some subscribers prefer to trade options.
If you like, sign up for text alerts, which are quite helpful with options trades as the prices on options move very quickly.

It took a little longer to find, it was inside the Three Trucker Calls to buy…. I very much like the idea of quicker turnarounds. especially while I work to build working capital.

Got $3.20 today at 1:15pm at Fidelity. Returned to FL from MD last week and passed so many of these truckers on the road. So grateful to them and the Great Play. Thanks, Linda!
