Sell to close the March 16, 2018 call on Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) with a strike price of $25 at $2.17 or higher for a swift 61% gain. Symbol (ATSG180316C25)
I still love Air Transport Services Group (NSDQ: ATSG) and will be looking for more calls to buy. However, a 61% gain in one short week deserves to be booked.
Please let me know how this trade worked out for you. I am always eager to hear your thoughts. Please consider filling out this brief survey.

Hello subscriber,
The market has lost some of its froth from the gap up this morning. If you didn’t get filled on the ATSG March calls, don’t fret. Sit tight and I think the stock will come back up.
Best,
Linda

I was able to get out with a more modest, but still wonderful, 36% profit. I had bought the $22.50 call at $2.60 and sold it at $3.60.
I have a price alert set for $2.60 on the Mar 2018 $22.50 call and will consider getting back in if it drops to that.

Unfortunately, I didn’t see the alert until things dropped – and continued to drop. Trying not to fret! Do you still think it will come back up?
Linda McDonough
Yes, I do Howard. I toyed with holding on to them but do like to take a profit when it comes along so quickly. These are March 2018 calls so we have a lot of time and a lot of news coming along that should lift the stock above $25.
Best,
Linda

Hi Linda, Im placing this Air Transport on etrade, I have sell to close March 2018 with strike price 25, just wondering how I discern 2.17 on the etrade platform, is this the limit space? I can send you a screen shot if you want. thanks —
Linda McDonough
Gid,
The ATSG March 25 calls are now trading about $1.30 because the stock dropped down below the strike price. You can certainly place a limit trade that would get executed immediately if the call hits $2.17. I plan to keep subscribers up to date on this position as it traded at my suggested sell price only for a brief period of time.
These calls do not expire until March 2018, so we have some time for the stock to rise. The call price should correspondingly rise as the price of the stock does.
Best,
Linda

Just joined the service, ATSG $25 call is trading at $1.10 – $1.40, is it still worth buying or has the opportunity passed
Linda McDonough
Hello Victor,
Welcome aboard-
I think the Air Transport March calls are a good bargain here. I recommended their purchase at $1.35 so they are right around that level. They simply moved up quickly, so I suggested booking the gain.
Some of the options trades that I recommend are tied to a specific event so that it might not be worthwhile to purchase them after the event.
However, the ATSG calls are a play on the escalating demand for efficient parcel delivery. The company will report its fourth-quarter numbers in early March, so the March calls will capture the move in the stock from that event.
Best,
Linda

Hello Linda, I was reading the special reports and one of them talks about a company Criteo. I also found a recent recommendation to sell at a loss in a post on stock talk. Is Criteo still a good stock to invest in?
Linda McDonough
Hello Victor,
I am not currently recommending Criteo. The company’s algorithm for targeting advertisements will be partly disabled by the new version of Apple’s browser. Originally the company said they had an effective software fix that would circumvent the block. However, some recent commentary by management has lessened my confidence in its ability to execute. I am looking at several other ideas in the web advertisement space, though, as I like the industry. I’ll keep you posted on any new buy recommendations.
Thank you for the question.
Best,
Linda

I jumped back in on ATSG – I had originally purchased the Mar 18 $22.50 cals at $2.60 and sold at $3.60.
I was able to repurchase the Mar $22.50 calls at $2.15 today on Fidelity.

Hi Linda.
Missed the initial sell to close at 2.17 or higher recommendation and there was a subsequent big drop in price. Held on per your suggestion. Put in an order late yesterday. Trade went through this morning @2.50 for an 81% gain.
Thanks!!!
Linda McDonough
Excellent! Happy to hear that.
