Sell Masonite (NYSE: DOOR) for a slight loss.

Masonite has been in the portfolio for almost two years. In that period it gained as much as 23% and lost as much as 11%. Needless to say, the stock is volatile.

Assumptions for the current quarter look safe to me but starting in the third quarter, the company has some difficult comparisons. Added to this are the increased cost of lumber and a shortage of laborers slowing new home builds.

Masonite reports on August 8. There is always the chance the company sails through this earnings season but its past results have been lumpy and this is not a forgiving market.
