TRADE RATIONALE
Six weeks ago, I extended the holding period for Athene after it dropped on fears that a proposed provision to the then-pending tax bill would substantially diminish its profitability. I’m glad we did that, as ATH is up nearly 5% from where it closed that day.

However, with the details of the recently enacted tax bill known I do not see any reason to remain in this position any longer. We’re back to pretty close where we started with this one, and I rather to put this capital to work elsewhere.
