Virtual Reality Stocks Added to BTP Portfolio
For the reasons explained in our special report, “Three Hot Stocks for the $150 Billion Virtual Reality Revolution“, we are opening new positions in HiMax Technologies (HIMX), Immersion Corporation (IMMR) and Microvision Inc. (MVIS). More information on these three companies, including buy limit and support level pricing data, can be found on the BTP Special Situations Portfolio table.

Jim it looks like all 3 stocks-IMMR,HIMX and MVIS are taking a dive-when shall we buy?
Jim Pearce
Chris – I just realized I had a brain cramp on that answer, confusing our VR stocks with our Smart Car portfolio; my apologies. In the case of VR, I think last week’s announcement by Google that is partnering with IMAX to create the next generation of 3D cameras may turn out to be a catalyst for many VR companies, including the three you mentioned. In addition to producing this camera, IMAX will also be opening several “entertainment hubs” around the country that will give people the chance to watch a ten minute video shot by these cameras that will give them the full impact of a VR type of experience. I think once enough people have done that, they will realize that VR isn’t a gimmick and will begin to appreciate the wide variety of commercial applications that this type of technology can facilitate. Two of those entertainment hubs will be opening later this year, and you can be sure there will be a lot of media coverage when it happens. That should also draw a lot of attention to many undiscovered VR stocks, so it may not be long before we start seeing some strong price movement in these companies. Jim

Hi Mota. At the moment OFI is the only service that sends alerts via text due to the extremely volatile nature of options, but we do send alerts via email so you should be able to pull those up on your phone as well. As a publisher we are prohibited from giving personalized advice so I can’t address the specifics of your situation, but we do advise buying our special situations stocks in bundles to minimize risk, and not putting too much money into any one of them, both of which you seem to be doing. Thank you. Jim

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE COMPANY THAT IS WORKING ON ALPHA CELLS (CANCER TREATMENT)
Jim Pearce
As described in the Special Report under the Resources tab at the top of this page, Argos Therapeutics (ARGS) and Juno Therapeutics (JUNO) are the two cancer immunotherapy companies that we recommend (http://www.investingdaily.com/res/reports/term1y/BTP-One_Little_Shot_to_Kill_Cancer_Dead.pdf).

Hello, I just saw this BRIEF-MicroVision files for stock shelf of upto $35 mln and I just bought 3500 shares should I sell or hold what is likely to happen and what does this brief mean for small investor like me
thank you
Sylvain

Good question. Although a secondary offering of common stock is dilutive to existing shareholders (which is a bad thing, all other things being equal), if the money is being raised so the company can increase production, acquire patents, etc., then the overall impact on the stock can be positive. You’ll notice that MVIS is up more than 2% today, suggesting this shelf registration does not trouble shareholders enough for them to bail out of the stock. None of the company’s officers or directors have sold any stock over the past year, either. We see no reason to change our opinion on MVIS based on this development. Thank you.

Today, 1 June 2018, I received a personal letter from MVIS’ new CEO Mulligan asking me to vote on his planned amendment to the incentive plan, to increase the number of shares of common stock, to elect Moss Adams, and to hold a non-binding advisory vote. Would you care to elaborate on any of this and tell us investors if this is good or bad?
John B
I read you answer to a similar question from another subscriber just now. If you have nothing further to add then disregard my post.

John B. — There’s nothing further to add but I’m always glad to get reader inquiries. Thanks for your engagement with our publication.
