Igor & Robert,
It was great to meet you and share a dinner table with you Friday night.
I am looking a expanding my investment into the area of you expertise.
I think I will do a Fink type credit spread on VLO Buy JUL 54.50 sell Jul 59.00 GTC.
Do you have any problems with this approach?
(PS Robert, thank for your contribution to improving the attractiveness at our table.)

It was a pleasure to meet you, Michael. I never felt so safe as when sitting between two Okies swapping stories. This looks to me like a fairly conservative bet. You’ll note that Valero remains a top buy for us after looking very good on Robert’s new screening tool relative to peers in issue out today. Thanks again for coming out to Denver, enjoyed our time.

I just read a piece from Oil and Gas Investment which was discussing the significant reduction in drilling activity for Nat Gas in all the major Texas fields and also the production decline in current wells. With this I know that EOG, Apache, Newfield, MTDR and PXD are all big drillers in this area. If what they say is true, we could see a 10-20% reduction in product. With this and knowing that and with the CEO’s at a New York oil and gas conference feel the price of oil to settle near $70 near the end of ’15 or first of ’16 what do you feel are the best moves to get ahead of this move? Also it seems LNG is becoming one of the biggest new adds to hedge funds I assume awaiting the first exports, so what do you feel is a great time to exit my sizable position in this stock and the run gained over the last 4 years.

Just read your piece on Alon and its relationship with Delek. Derek has moved down pretty strongly the last few days without any news. Any clue as to what is pressuring Delek?

I haven’t seen anything to account for the price action in Delek, which looks to me like a measured correction following the big first-quarter rally. But then again I’m a DK bull, obviously, since we recommend it along with its logistics MLP DKL. You should check out Delek’s latest presentation for some good detail: http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=196835&p=irol-presentations#Presentations

I was listening to a oil & Gas Ceo yesterday and he mentioned they felt Nat Gas would be in the mid $3’s next year from it’s current $2.6 about a 50% gain in price. With that who do you feel could be the best buys to take advantage of this possible move. Also being it is hard export oil and it must be refined if we start out export of Gas I would like to take a position in advance of this move. Any thoughts already have, EOG,PXD, MTDR, WLL, CXO. Appreciate your views.

Cabot Oil and Gas is my favorite in this space. It has an additional driver in the Constitution Pipeline, which is being built to bring Cabot’s gas to more lucrative markets. It it scheduled to start up in mid-2016, and as the time grow closer I think investors will bid up Cabot’s share price.

What’s happening with TRGP? For growth accounts, is it riskier than NGLS?

Igor Greenwald

Igor Greenwald

I apologize for missing this question earlier. TRGP has been hurt by the slump in natural gas liquids prices, which I covered (including its potential impact on TRGP) here: http://www.investingdaily.com/energy-strategist/articles/22953/profiting-from-the-pain-in-propane/ As the general partner of NGLS, I don’t think TRGP is any more or less risky. It’s just that TRGP provides less yield, less tax deferral but much more long-term growth potential than its affiliated MLP NGLS.

I own EEP; it has done well for me so far. What are your short, medium, and long term impressions on this MLP?

In one of your propmotional emails you are referring to an article called “Ingenious Energy Producer Profits in All Price Scenarios”. What company is it about? Could you please post a link to that article?
